STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. Language: Fluency in both English & Arabic Language. Experiences: 5 years minimum of relevant experience, preferably with some of it gained in protocol-related work, a first-level university degree along with three more years of qualifying relevant work experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of specialised common business practices and methods, gained through relevant technical training and experience.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of individuals in order to provide a high quality support service.
- Ability to carry out basic data analysis and independently rectify problems requiring attention.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality. Language: General Service (Headquarters): Fluency (level C) in English language. General Service (Field): Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
JOB PURPOSE
To deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1- Under the direct supervision of the Protocol Officer, the Protocol Assistant SC 5 will be responsible for the following duties: Meet and greet services for new arrivals of WFP staff at Khartoum International Airport. 2- Assist with lost baggage, including claiming, tracking, and pick-up. 3- Book VIP lounge in Khartoum airport for arrival and departure of dignitaries 4- Follow up with the relevant government departments to ensure that the necessary approvals are received on time. 5- Register the national passports of newcomers with HAC. 6- liaise with Embassies and Consulates for easy issuance of visas. 7- Assist in the drafting and issuance of visas, residence permits, travel notifications, and existing visas for program staff whenever required. 8- Assist WFP staff in registering vehicles and driving licenses. 9- Delivery and receipt of documents such as document translation, vehicle registration, driver’s license for international staff, and transfer of ownership of the private vehicle. 10- Handle all aspects of finalizing the driving license and vehicle registration after they have been approved by the concerned authorities. 11- Support the Government Liaison Unit with protocol and customs-related tasks in different government offices whenever required.

- Valid driving license for 4×4 vehicles or above with a clean driving record
